At the AME Stories, every piece is individually created against an order and brought to life through a slow, thoughtful, hands-on process. Each piece is hand-painted by a single artist, making it truly one of a kind.
As our products are made to order and created specifically for each customer, we do not generally accept returns, exchanges, or refunds.
A return or replacement request will be considered only in the following specific cases:
* If you have received the wrong product
* If you have received a different size from the size originally ordered and confirmed
* If the product has arrived damaged

The Nature of Handcrafted & Hand-Painted Products
Every piece from the AME Stories is individually hand-painted and handcrafted through a meticulous, hands-on process. Unlike machine-produced products, no two pieces will ever be exactly identical.
Slight variations in colour, brushwork, motif placement, paint intensity, weave, texture, or finish are natural characteristics of a handcrafted product and are not considered defects.
As each piece is painted entirely by hand, tiny paint marks, mild stain-like spots, faint colour traces, minor smudges, or subtle irregularities may occasionally occur as a natural part of the artistic process. These are inherent to the hands-on nature of hand-painted work and will not be considered damage, staining, or manufacturing defects.
Such subtle variations and traces of the making process are part of what makes every piece from the AME Stories unique.
Fabric & Weave Variations
We work with delicate, high-quality fabrics, including handwoven and naturally textured materials. Minor irregularities in the weave, slubs, thread variations, or subtle differences in texture may naturally occur.
These characteristics are inherent to the fabric and craftsmanship and will not be considered defects or grounds for return, exchange, or replacement.
Colour Variation
We make every effort to represent product colours as accurately as possible. However, slight colour variations may occur due to photography, lighting conditions, individual screen settings, and differences across mobile phones, tablets, and monitors.
As our pieces are individually hand-painted, minor variations in the final shade, tonal depth, brushwork, or paint intensity may also naturally occur from one piece to another.
Such variations are not considered defects and are not eligible for return, exchange, or replacement.
Return & Replacement Eligibility
As every piece is created against an order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, personal preference, colour expectations, fit preferences, minor handcrafted variations, natural fabric irregularities, or any other reason outside the three specific cases stated below.
A return or replacement request will be considered only if:
For any of the above cases, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order, along with clear photographs and an unedited unboxing video clearly showing the product, packaging, and the issue concerned.
All requests are subject to inspection and approval by the AME Stories.
Important Note on Size
Please note that the measurements provided in our Size Chart refer to body measurements and not the finished garment measurements. While selecting your size, kindly choose the size based on your actual body measurements.
The finished garment measurements may vary depending on the design, silhouette, fit, ease, and construction of each style. Certain styles may be intentionally relaxed, oversized, fitted, or may include additional ease as part of the design.
A size-related return or replacement will be considered only if the size delivered is different from the size originally ordered and confirmed.
A product will not be eligible for return, exchange, or replacement if the correct ordered size has been delivered but the customer experiences a fit issue due to:
* Incorrect size selection at the time of placing the order
* Inaccurate body measurements provided by the customer
* Personal fit preference
* Differences in individual body proportions
We strongly recommend checking your body measurements carefully against our Size Chart before confirming your order. If you are unsure about sizing, we encourage you to contact us for guidance before placing the order.
Customized & Made-to-Order Products
Products customized in any manner are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable. This includes:
* Custom colours or shades
* Custom sizing or made-to-measure pieces
* Altered lengths or measurements
* Additional or modified embroidery
* Changes in motifs, patterns, placement, or design details
* Personalized products
* Any product specially modified according to individual requirements
Once a customized or made-to-order piece has entered production, the order cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged, or refunded.
Where feasible, minor alterations may be considered at the sole discretion of the AME Stories. Any alteration and courier charges will be borne by the customer.
Wash & Care
Our products are created using delicate fabrics, hand-painted surfaces, and, in some cases, intricate hand embellishments. We strongly recommend following the care instructions provided with your product.
Dry cleaning is recommended unless otherwise specifically mentioned. Iron carefully, preferably on the reverse side.
Any damage caused by incorrect washing, ironing, storage, handling, exposure to harsh chemicals, perfumes, moisture, or failure to follow the recommended care instructions will not be eligible for return, exchange, replacement, or refund.
Conditions for an Approved Return
If a return is approved by the AME Stories under one of the three eligible circumstances mentioned above, the product must be returned within 7 business days of receiving return approval, unless otherwise communicated by us.
The product must be:
* Unused
* Unworn
* Unwashed
* Unaltered
* In its original condition
* Returned with all original tags and packaging intact
* Accompanied by proof of purchase
Any product showing signs of wear, washing, perfume, makeup, stains caused after delivery, alteration, damage, or improper handling will not be accepted.
Courier Charges
If the product received is confirmed by us to be the wrong product, a different size from the size ordered, or genuinely damaged, the applicable return and replacement shipping charges will be handled by the AME Stories, subject to inspection and approval.
Any courier charges arising from alterations or requests outside the approved return conditions will be borne by the customer.
Return Packaging
All approved return items must be securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
If the returned product reaches us in a damaged, used, altered, stained, or otherwise compromised condition, the return or replacement request may be rejected and the product will be sent back to the customer.
Inspection & Approval
Once the returned item is received, it will undergo a quality inspection by our team. We will then notify you regarding the approval or rejection of the request.
If approved, we will arrange an appropriate replacement based on the nature of the issue and product availability.
If the item does not meet our return eligibility conditions, the request will be rejected and the product will be sent back to the customer.
Refunds
We do not offer monetary refunds.
For approved cases involving a wrong product, a different size from the size originally ordered, or a product received in damaged condition, an appropriate replacement will be arranged following inspection and approval.
One-Time Replacement
Only one approved replacement is permitted per order.
Order Cancellation
As every piece is made against an order and production is planned specifically for each purchase, cancellations are not accepted once the order has entered production.
By placing an order with the AME Stories, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the handcrafted nature of our products and to the terms of this Return & Exchange Policy.
